UCC E&S are holding our annual Spring Break Tour on the 30th of March to the 1st of April this year! For people who don’t know what the Spring Break Tour is, it’s where we take you to an airport and you won’t find out where you are going until you board the plane. The price includes flights and accommodation.
Tickets are €150 and this has to be paid in advance of the trip but you are guaranteed to have one of the most memorable and incredible college experiences of your time in UCC!
Reservations are taking place from the 20th of February to the 24th of February from 4pm-5pm everyday in the Boole Basement. Spaces are limited so be sure to let us know early if you want to go!
Innov8 week will be on from Monday the 13th to Thursday the 16th of February.
Innov8 week provides many opportunities to gain a greater insight into the world of business opportunities that are available to students in UCC whether graduating or in college.

The UCC Student’s Union in collaboration with UCC E&S and the Ignite program have started a new 7 week course aimed at young entrepreneurs. This program will be very good in encouraging innovation in UCC Students and with a prize fund of €3000, it’s an opportunity not to be missed!

Seven weeks of lunchtime classes starting on the week of the 12th of February
Lectures by UCC staff and workshops by Enterprise Ireland

After the seven week programme the best students will be brought forward to a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style assessment in Devere Hall with entrepreneurs from around Cork to give their business pitch in late March/early April.
The best contestant from this will win a €3,000 prize.
The module is non-accredited but there will be significant involvement with the likes of Enterprise Ireland.

E&S are holding a UV Party in the Roxy on Tuesday the 24th of January!!!
Tickets will be on sale for THREE EUROS from Tuesday the 17th of January outside the Boole! If you don’t buy an E&S ticket, then entry will be at the normal cover charge for the Roxy, so make sure to buy an E&S ticket to get the money off!

Brian Purcell, judge on the award winning TV3 series the Apprentice, will be giving a speech in UCC on the 29th of November. Brian is a world renowned PR guru and the advice that he will give in his speech would be of massive benefit to any budding entrepreneurs.
